Shootin' Sage Rats {Sunday Snapshot}

After getting some work done in the yard today, the boys decided they would get out the bb gun and the pellet gun and shoot sage rats.

Cara was their little helper.  She carried the tools in case the guns weren't sighted in correctly.

I'm pretty sure they didn't hit a single one,

But they had fun anyway.

The Easter Dress

I ordered this dress off zulily a couple of weeks ago.  It just came in the mail today and Cara LOVES it!  The brand is Moo's Boos and runs a little large.  This is a 6 and is a little bit big up top for Cara.  She wanted to try it on immediately.  Who looks this delicious after a day of kindergarten?  She's starting to get a bruise above her right eye from something that happened at school today, but she won't tell me what.

Cara has another Moo's Boos dress in yellow.  Her dad does not like them.  He says that since A, B, and I will be in New York on Easter for an FBLA trip, he gets to dress Cara in whatever he wants for Easter. ;)  Fingers crossed he picks this dress!

Cara wanted to go spend the night at grandma's house tonight. She got her bag together, got dressed for church and was on her way!

Cara's Baby Chicks {Sunday Snapshot}

Today was the day Cara got her baby chicks.  We have 6 grown chickens, but only a couple of them are laying right now, so it was time to add to the flock.  We went to two places in Yakima that were already sold out of baby chicks.  We ended up driving to Sunnyside in order to get the chicks.

Cara picked out 4 and we took them home.  It's so funny to watch her with baby chicks now.  When Cara first came home, we couldn't even get her to look in the chick area at the farm stores without screaming.

Now she kisses them! :)

All of her babies are sleeping now in a bin on the patio under a heat lamp.  I think she'll be a good momma to her new little babies.

B's Wrestling Banquet

Last night was B's first high school wrestling banquet.  He wrestled varsity this year so he lettered as a freshman.

He was totally embarrased that I wanted to take a picture of him with his letter. ;)

The coaches did a really nice job of putting the banquet together.  They had a 20 minute video/slide show of the season which was pretty cool.  B is already looking forward to camp this summer at Boise State!

52nd Annual Sukiyaki Dinner {Sunday Snapshot}

Today was the 52nd Annual Sukiyaki dinner at the Buddist temple in Wapato.  We went last year and had a great meal, so we were excited to go again this year.  The dinner consists of a cucumber salad, and a plate of yam noodles, onions, bamboo shoots, rice, and prime rib.  It's soooooo good!  They serve over 1800 meals at this dinner every year and have over 120 volunteers working to make the dinner a success.

Here is Cara all ready to leave:

Dad and brother photobombing! ;)

Cara posed with the Wapato royalty before we went in to eat.

Love the decorations!  The theme this year was "Girl Day."

All of us together waiting for our meal.

I thought the dinner this year was even better that the one last year, and I didn't think that was possible!  Looking forward to next year already.
