Cara's 4th "Referral-versary"

Today is Cara's 4 year referral-versary.  I can remember that day as if it was yesterday.  I remember A coming into the bathroom and telling me to hurry up and get out of the shower because Dad had called and the referral was on our email.

I remember opening up the picture and seeing the sweetest little girl with the most delicious-looking ears and lips I had ever seen!

Now she's seven and so grown up.  She has her first loose tooth and it's killing me!  She's growing up so fast...

She would much rather take silly pictures than "regular" ones.

She holds her own with her teenaged brother and sister just fine! ;)

She does well academically, socially, and athletically.  She is full of JOY all of the time and is always ready for an adventure.

And we can't imagine life without her.  Happy referral-versary Cara!  We love you a million infinities!

Cara's 7 year photo shoot

I don't know anyone more excited to turn 7 than Cara. ;)  We took her out for a photo shoot this evening, mainly because we needed a current photo for our adoption agency, CCAI.  They will complete 11,000 adoptions this Tuesday and they want as many pictures of children they have placed as they can get holding signs that say, 11,000.

Here is Cara's info as of tonight:
height:  46 3/8" (up 2 1/8" from last year)
weight: 44.6 lbs (up .6 lbs from last year)
best friend:  Macy
favorite TV show:  Peppa Pig
favorite activity at school:  math games
favorite food:  tacos
what she wants to be when she grows up:  doctor

Seven sure looks good on you, sweet Cara!

Cara's 7th Birthday Party

Today we had Cara's 7th birthday party.  Her birthday is the 3rd, but it was just easier to have her party over the weekend...especially since her brother's birthday is the 4th.

Cara wanted an "Olaf" party, from the movie "Frozen."  This was her cake:

It's never a good party unless someone cries or gets put in time out (we had both).  Tristan was in time out and Jake was consoling him. ;)

We had a bouncy house, which kept the kids entertained for most of the afternoon.  Once most of the kids left, Cara, Macy and Jake decided to run through the sprinklers.

All in all, it was a great party!
