Referral!

My intent to starting this blog was to be able to cronicle our international adoption journey. I'm not so good at blogging, apparently, especially since its been over a month since my last post. But, I have to say we received the greatest suprise last Tuesday, June 22nd. We received a referral for a precious 3 year old girl from Shanghai! Totally out of the blue, NOT expecting it. I only finished my parent training classes the night before! More info to follow..

Livestock Show

Whew! The livestock show is finally over! The kids did pretty well. A had a pig go to call backs for classification and both A and B were in call backs for fitting and showing. The club won herdsmanship for both the lamb and swine division. Everyone in the club got good prices for their animals. All done til next year!

Wine Tasting Weekend

It's spring barrel tasting in our area. That means there are a LOT of drunk SOBs driving around! J and I didn't go this year. We have too much to do to get ready for the livestock show, and besides, there are wineries everywhere. We can pretty much taste whenever we want, so why should we go when the Seattleites and anyone who wants a free drunk are out and about? I'd rather go when we can pace ourselves and not fight the crowds.

Getting Ready

J and the two kids are off to work day for the livestock show. I'm sitting here waiting until 10:00 to buy Carrie Underwood tix. I should be working on the educational display for the livestock show, and I will, when I'm done blogging! ;)

Need to clean house today, too! Lots of stuff to do this weekend, but I think its all going to get done. Thank God!!!!

Starting Out

I've been meaning to start a blog for awhile now. Sometimes I have things to say, sometimes I don't, but I would like to start keeping track of our family journey as we wait for our China adoption to go through.
