Cara's First Cheer Camp {Sunday Snapshot}

Cara got to do her first cheer camp last week.  She was so excited!  Last year for the fall cheer camp we were in Pullman, so I didn't sign her up.  Last year for the spring camp, I signed Cara up, but she got sick and wasn't able to participate.
Here she is all ready for the football game Friday night (the theme was One Direction):

Her big sister even came home from Pullman to watch her cheer! ;)

Half time show:

Cara had a great time.  She's already looking forward to the spring camp.

WSU Home Opener {Sunday Snapshot}

Saturday was the day we had been waiting for all year...the WSU home opener in Martin Stadium!  We even upgraded our 13 year old 5th wheel to a new trailer this week so we could have a brand new trailer to camp in this year (love it!).  It was a warm one, but we were happy to be there. :)

Cougs coming out of the tunnel for the first time this year!

Cougs were winning pretty handily by half time.  I went back to the trailer because I had a headache coming on, but I listened to the game on the radio.  A great win for the Cougs!
Looking forward to a fun season of Cougar Football!

My First Grader {Sunday Snapshot}

My zinnias are looking so nice and lush right now, and I wanted to take a picture of Cara with them before they start to die off.
My little first grader.  She's doing so great so far.  Last year, every morning was pure hell.  No lie.  She hates getting up in the morning and every morning started with screaming, crying tantrums.  A very stressful way for all of us to start the day.
This year, so far, so good.  No crying tantrums yet.  We told her all summer that first graders get right up and get ready with no fits.  Apparently, she believes us. :)

Our last Sunday on the Snake for 2013

Usually we don't go to the river on Labor Day weekend. It just seems like it's back to school time, time to can tomatoes, and time to watch football.  But A came home this weekend and surprised us, so we thought we should take advantage of our time together and spend it on the river.  All 3 of my kids knee boarded.  A went first:

Then Cara decided it was her turn.  Usually she doesn't get up on her knees; she just likes to be pulled slowly and she stays on her tummy.  Today was the day, though, she got up on her knees!  Just look at that grin:

I love her smile in this one.  She was so proud of herself. :)

It took some coaxing from all of us to get B to knee board.  He prefers to just stay in the boat.  But he humored us and let me take some pictures.

It was perfect weather and a nice, relaxing day for our last time on the river this year.
