We Moved Bryan in at WSU

This weekend we moved Bryan into his dorm at WSU.  I wanted to help him set up his room so it looked homey and comfortable.  I spent quite a bit of time looking through Pinterest, and I must say, there aren't many pins for boys dorm room d├ęcor!  We found the map of Pullman on a Facebook ad and framed it.

We found his bedding on Amazon.  The wall art is 4 of his favorite t-shirts cut out and stretched over framed canvas.  We actually did find that idea on Pinterest! :)

We found the WSU storage box on zulily.  He already had the Cougar blanket and we bought the butterfly chair and black rug at WalMart.  I wish the rug was bigger, but it works.  His picture frame above his bed we got at Homegoods and the pictures are clipped on, so he can change them out whenever he wants.

Here is his desk area under his bed:

A closer look at his bed and wall art:

I think he will be happy here at WSU.  I hope he enjoys his room.

My 3 youngest!  Next will be Sophia's turn in 4 years!

Ali's Bridal Shower

I can't believe my oldest baby is getting married in about 6 weeks! Her friend and Maid of Honor, Cierah threw her a bridal shower yesterday and it was so nice!

I never knew they had this room in the back for parties.  Here is a picture of everyone that attended:

Here she is,  waiting to unwrap gifts!

She got a nice mix of lingerie and things for her home:

It was a perfect party!  Now, back to wedding preparations.  Ack!!!!

Happy 6th Referral-Versary, Cara!

I can't believe the change in Miss Cara.  It's been 6 years since we saw her sweet face for the first time.  Now she's a smart, active 9 year old that will start 4th grade in the fall.  She likes gymnastics, dance, and watching t.v. ;).  She does well in school and has a kind, caring heart.

Happy 6th referral-versary, sweet Cara.  We are so lucky to be your parents!

B's Graduation and Oh Yeah, I Have A Blog!

I really need to make the time to update my blog more regularly.  I actually do go back to posts in order to remember things when they happened.  I'm not really helping myself out too much when I don't post!
B just graduated from high school!  Like A, not only did he graduate from high school, but he also graduated from our local community college with his A.A.  He will be off to Washington State University this fall as a junior.

Grandpa has been on the school board for as long as I remember, so he was able to give B his diploma.

The hubs and I with B:

Congratulations, B!  I know you will do great things!

Cara's First Gymnastics Meet

Today Cara had her first gymnastics meet.  Here she is ready to vault.  Waving to her mom and dad when she should be concentrating on her vault. ;)

Cara did well, and I think she will do even better next time.  She was so excited to get 3rd and has not taken her medal off.  She's looking forward to her next competition in February.

Annual Visit to Santa

We took the girls to see Santa today at Riverpark Square in Spokane.  The line was quite long when we got there, but that's nothing out of the ordinary.  Soon enough, they got to see Santa.

Cara wants aqua gems and Sophia wants a new phone.  We will see what Santa brings in a few days!

Choosing A Christmas Tree

Once Thanksgiving is over, we find our Christmas tree.  Saturday morning we got up and headed to Yakima.  The past couple of years we have found great trees at True Value on Washington Ave.  We went there again and the kids picked the perfect tree.  Here they are...a little cold! ;)

And here is our tree decorated for Christmas with all of the gifts wrapped underneath it.  It is a beautiful tree this year.  I will be sad when it's time to come down.
