Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving was really great this year.  I love having Thanksgiving at my house!  I love cooking the meal and having my home filled with loved ones.  Here is our table centerpiece.  It was super pretty!

 

Everyone at dinner.  It's difficult to get everyone looking the same way at the same time.   Cara is hiding in the picture.  Can you see her little head in the back on the right?

Best of all, dessert!  A pumpkin pie, a lemon cheese cake, an amaretto cheese cake, and a pecan pie!

I took down the Thanksgiving decorations today and started decorating for Christmas.  We will be getting and decorating the tree tomorrow as well as taking Christmas card photos.  I will post decorations when the tree is up.

The Christmas Dress {Sunday Snapshot}

I ordered Cara's Christmas dress a couple of weeks ago off Etsy.  The seller was Crocodile Crunch.  It came yesterday, and I couldn't wait for Cara to try it on so I could take a few pictures of her in it.  I also ordered a custom headpiece off Sophia Jane Boutique.  It came a couple of days ago, too.

 

I just love this picture of her!  I think I'm going to hand this one on the wall.

I love the dress because it's not an "over the top" type dress.  It's pretty, festive, and comfortable.  She will look so pretty in it when she wears it for Christmas Eve.

Three Years Later...

I was feeling a little nostalgic today, so I watched Cara's Gotcha Day video.  This picture is in the video.  It's in our hotel room in Shanghai.  Cara is wearing size 2T and she was 3 years, 4 months.

 

As Cara was sleeping on her daddy's lap tonight, I had to laugh, because I remembered the above picture from the video.  Three years later, this is still Cara's favorite way to fall asleep.  You will see this same view 4-5 nights a week at our house.

Except now she wears a size 6.  From a 2T to a 6 in 3 years!  She is definitely daddy's girl!
