Hula Show

We went to see the hula show at Whaler's Village twice while we were in Maui.  Cara loved it so much the first time we had to go back.  The hula dancers were so good!

This little guy is only four years old!  He was a riot!  So funny!  There was a praying mantis flying around the stage during his dance.  I though he was going to stop and go after the bug. :)

These were the older girls dancing a dance from Tahiti.  So good!

At the end, they call people up from the audience and teach them some hula moves.  Cara is in the pink shirt.

A great experience.  Can't wait to go back and see the hula show again!

Whale Watch

We went on a whale watch during our vacation on Maui.  Cara was so excited to go!

The view back toward the shore was amazing!  I actually have a watercolor print of this photo I snapped hanging in our half-bath.

We saw some Hawaiian spinner dolphins.  They were so cool!  One of them was racing the boat as we drove away. :)

We saw several whales during the two hour adventure.  It  was a great time; one of the highlights of our trip.

We will definitely have to do it again the next time we go to Maui.  Seeing the whales and the beautiful scenery could never get old.

B's Wrestling Banquet

B's second high school wrestling banquet was tonight.  The food was amazing!  BBQ chicken and ribs.  Yum!  B got his second year varsity letter and the scholar athlete award for his 4.0.

Here are the 5 second year lettermen on the team:

B with his awards.  So proud of him!  Now, on to the freestyle wrestling season. ;)

53rd Annual Sukiyaki Dinner {Sunday Snapshot}

Today was the 53rd annual Sukiyaki dinner at the Buddist temple in Wapato.  We look forward to going to this dinner every year...the food is wonderful!  Last year B wore shorts to this event, and this year it's SNOWING!  Here is Cara outside in the snow all dressed up and ready to go:

I love her smile and I think she looks so beautiful in her Chinese silks. :)

Here's our table!

Dinner was fantastic, as usual.  Now our tummies are full and we're already looking forward to next year. ;)
